What is Dailyride?

Dailyride is a fatbike / e-bike store selling in the Netherlands on Shopify Plus. The goal of this project was to increase conversion rate and average order value by optimizing the user experience and adding upsells through a customizer.

Customization Popup

The customization popup is a key feature designed to increase average order value. It allows customers to add customizations like bike locks, trackers, insurance, and delivery options before completing their purchase.

Metaobject Configuration

To keep the upsells flexible, I used metaobjects. Different bikes have different upsells, and some accessories are only compatible with specific models. Using metaobjects allows for easy configuration so that similar bikes can share upsells without manual setup for each product.

Shopify Function

A Shopify Function was implemented to handle special delivery options. If a customer chooses assembled delivery (instead of receiving the bike in a box), an additional €50 charge is applied automatically. This ensures pricing updates dynamically based on customer selection.

New Menu

A new CRO-optimized menu was introduced to improve navigation and store flow, making it easier for customers to find what they need quickly.

Product Cards

The product cards were redesigned to provide better clarity and comparison between different bikes.

Final Thoughts

This project is an ongoing collaboration focused on continuously improving conversion rates and user experience. We are still running optimizations and implementing new improvements to refine the store further.
